Annual Conference

Each year we host the SCBFCC (SC Black Farmers Coalition Conference). This dynamic gathering is designed to bring important information, technical assistance, farming skills workshops, on-site tours and other networking resources to new and established Black farmers across the state in order to build the capacity of their farms to be more profitable and sustainable across generations. SCBFCC24 will be held on the campus of Historic Penn Center, Inc. on St. Helena Island, a truly beautiful place to visit! In addition to some of the local farm sites on our conference agenda, you should make the most of your time by planning to visit the beaches, restaurants and museums that help make the Island one of the top destinations in the SC Lowcountry!

We have a limited number lodging options available on the
Penn Center campus
(get your deluxe tickets early!),
and we have also reserved a block
of rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn Beaufort

Meals:

Your conference ticket comes with catered lunch and formal dinner on Saturday, and breakfast & lunch on Sunday. We also recommend Gullah Grub, Willie’s Breakfast Bar & Grill, or Seaside Bar and Grill (be sure to call ahead for reservations!).
